Robert Stuart Plc is a leading aerospace/defence electroplating company located in Harlow, near the Essex/Herts border and are currently looking to recruit the following:-

Process Planning Engineer

The position offered is Process Planning Engineer who will be required to routinely produce new sequential work instructions and control documentation for electroplating and other surface treatment processes.
The tasks involve contract review of incoming purchase orders to meet defined NADCAP requirements. A technical working knowledge of some Aerospace/Defence plating specifications preferentially to NADCAP requirements is necessary.
The business operates under the AS9100 Quality System and maintains the relevant National Aerospace/Defence and Prime Contractor approvals.
Ideally, the person will be a plating process chemist or technician with good literacy, communication and computing skills (e.g. use of Microsoft Word and Excel).

NADCAP Quality Engineer

The position offered is a management role with responsibility of overseeing and supporting the general application and day to day compliance with NADCAP requirements for chemical processes across the business. A technical working knowledge of NADCAP requirements is required.
The person will be used to working as a team player, within an active production team, overseeing all NADCAP requirements i.e training, contract review, lot/batch testing, internal audits.
The role also involves arranging , organising and managing the annual NADCAP audit process, including internal audits as required.
The business operates under the AS9100 Quality System and maintains the relevant National Aerospace/Defence and Prime Contractor approvals .
Ideally, the person will be a Quality Engineer from an electro plating background, with good literacy, communication and computing skills (e.g. use of Microsoft Word and Excel).

For both vacancies an attractive salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications further training will be given as required

Research Chemist

MacDermid is a Global supplier of metal finishing products and processes. We currently have a vacancy for a Research Chemist in our Surface Conditioning Group located in Birmingham UK. The ideal candidate will have at least a degree level education in chemistry and will have experience of formulation and development of metal cleaners and pretreatment processes within the metal finishing industry. The successful applicant must be able to manage research projects and interact effectively with MacDermid employees and customers.

Responsibilities will include Research and Development of new processes and providing technical support for our existing product line. The applicant must be prepared to be flexible with travel and working hours. Liaison with the marketing department will also be required. A competitive remuneration package will be provided for the successful applicant.
