Job Details:
A Laboratory Supervisor is required to work within the Product Quality Department to focus on all aspects of paint quality.
Job Requirements:
- To provide day to day supervision of an analytical laboratory with 3 direct hourly reports
- To supervise the collection of process samples and subsequent analytical and investigation work to maintain stable operation of the paint process.
- To personally conduct analytical testing within the laboratory and to train Laboratory Technicians
- To investigate paint quality issues on finished painted components and to identify and eliminate the root cause of the issue
- To investigate paint quality issues from test panels and process samples to identify and eliminate the root cause of the issue.
- To work with all chemical / paint and painted component suppliers to resolve issues and conduct continuous improvement activities.
- To develop suitable inspection process
- To compile and communicate weekly quality data reports
- To deliver paint acceptance standard and paint process awareness training
Skills / Experience:
- Qualified to Degree or HND level in a form of analytical chemistry or with significant work experience in this area.
- Previous quality and process experience relating to electro-coat and wet spray paint applications
- Past supervisory experience is preferable
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
- Good analytical PC Skills (word, excel etc.)

Holden Aluminium Worcester Ltd is a privately owned supplier to the automotive industry. We are currently expanding our operations to include an anodising facility and therefore have an exciting opportunity for an Anodising Plant Manager to join our team to lead, implement and effectively manage this project.
To be successful you must possess a full understanding and hands on experience of the anodising and electrochemical process, coupled with good people management skills. Duties will include, quality and operational performance of the plant, developing the plant and jigs; supervision of the anodising team; quality control, testing and SPC Evaluation. Understanding and application of the IPCC regulations is also essential.
The plant loading will be run through our current operating system “Forth shift” and experience with this or a similar MRP system would be a benefit. The successful applicant will report in to the Production Manager and in return we will offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

Plating Process Engineer (Ref: PPE/0739A)
Reporting to the CMP/Plating Engineering Manager, you will work as a member of the CMP/Plating engineering team. Your work will involve process optimisation, equipment qualification and the introduction of new technologies. You will actively contribute to the achievement of process engineering goals including scrap minimisation, process capability, yield improvement, cycle time and rework reduction efforts.
You will work to define effective protocols for operators and technicians to facilitate rapid response to out of control situations, and to support a 24x7 production environment. The successful candidate will also be involved in deployment of new CMP & Electroplating tools and processes at Springtown, liaising with vendors to ensure timely introduction of new technologies.
Applicants must possess at least a 2.2 Hons Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline and at least two years relevant experience. Applicants with a higher qualification and less experience may also be considered.

Major Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Business Manager of East China, your will be responsible to liaise and coordinate projects and technical issues among customers, project engineers and internal functional departments

As a Nadcap auditor, you will perform Special Process audits, complete audit reports and have the opportunity to train associate auditors.

The following are specific criteria for the Nadcap Special Processes:
Chemical Processing
5 years "hands on" experience (preferably in the Aerospace industry) with two or more of the following processes: Anodizing, Electroplating, Conversion Coatings, Painting
Heat Treating
5 years "hands-on" experience (preferably in the Aerospace industry) with the following processes: Aluminum Heat Treating, Titanium Heat Treating, Heat Treating of Heat Resistant Alloys, Brazing Alloys and an understanding of AMS 2750
Composites
3 years direct experience (preferably in the Aerospace industry) with the following aspects: Basic physical, mechanical and chemical properties of composite materials, basic raw material testing methods, storage, handling and environmental control of composites, nondestructive testing of composites and mechanical properties testing of composites (i.e. lap shear, tensile, compression, peel test and flexural testing)
Facilities experience related to composites (i.e. autoclaves, laser projectors and ply cutters), experience processing various composite materials (i.e. BMI, polyimide, adhesives and honeycomb core), familiar with bagging procedure and tooling requirements based on the material being processed (i.e. tool repair and maintenance for composite and metallic tooling)
NMSE
Minimum 2 years "hands on" experience (preferably in the Aerospace industry) with one or more of the following nonconventional machining and surface enhancement processes: Electrochemical Machining (ECM), Electrochemical Grinding (ECG), Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Laser Beam Machining (LBM), Automated Shot Peening, Computer Controlled Shot Peening, Flapper Peening, Peen Forming, Manual Shot Peening
