Regulations Governing Entry to the Professional Grade of Licentiateship LIMF
Candidates for election to the grade of Licentiate must produce documentary evidence to the satisfaction of Council that they are able to fulfil the requirements of one of the following regulations:
L1 possess an Advanced Technician Certificate and have satisfactorily completed an IMF approved project (Module MF5).
L2 possess an HNC/HND in chemistry, metallurgy, corrosion science and have satisfactorily completed an IMF approved project (Module MF5).
L3 possess any other qualification, plus appropriate experience, recommended by the Examination and Qualification Board and agreed by Council as being equivalent to one of the above .
NOTES:
- Candidates may be requested to attend for interview at the discretion of the Examination and Qualification Board.
- A person granted this grade of membership is entitled to use the letters LIMF.
